Tanganika Gray
Resident Care Director

I started my first job as a CNA when I was 20 years old. I was motivated to get into this line of work due to my son being diagnosed with hydrocephalus and it was difficult, if not next to impossible, to get home medical support. I started my carrier with an agency in Sacramento CA, where I rose through the ranks over the next 10 years and became a lead facilitator.

As much as I loved working for this company, I felt that there was something missing. I applied and was accepted to an agency that provided support to individuals with developmental disabilities. This experience really helped me to mature as a person and gain the skills necessary to provide the highest level of quality support to clients in all types of residential settings.

After years of working in management-level positions, I now have the pleasure and the honor of working at Oakwood Village as the new Resident Care Director. The exceptional and hardworking leadership team here at Oakwood Village will provide me with the opportunity to continue my work by assisting individuals to be as independent as possible in a respectful and caring environment. Oakwood Village also allows me to continue living my life by the mantra. “Always put your best foot forward and keep your heart in the right place”.
