Reach Your Potential
Oakwood Village Assisted Living Community has created an environment where our residents can thrive and reach their health and social potential. Oakwood Village will meet you where you are and assist or we will let you be independent in the areas where no assistance is needed.
Overcoming Malnutrition
One of the major issues seniors face is malnutrition, which in turn can lead to multifaceted problems. There are many reasons why malnutrition can become an issue – not wanting to cook, eating alone, forgetting to eat, dietary restrictions, depression, not wanting to grocery shop, and many more. Malnutrition contributes to, amongst other things, muscle fatigue, weakened immune system, susceptibility to disease, apathy, anxiety, depression, and risk of infection.
At Oakwood Village, nutrition is front and center, through working with your physician to manage all of your dietary needs. We offer three nutritious meals a day, along with snacks, and make sure the timing and correct medication is being taken, this combination does wonders for our residents’ health. We take the guesswork out and the burden that comes with figuring it out and executing it. In turn, we find our residents flourishing in our community.
The Balance of Assistance
Working through the activities of daily living, we can find the right balance of assistance. Some residents just need support with activities such as household chores and transportation, but are independent with dressing and getting ready for the day. Others may need more assistance with hygiene and other daily activities. Oakwood Village will help with adjusting those needs. Housekeeping and laundry are always managed, and we always want our residents to feel pampered and well taken care of.
Socially Enriched Community
Oakwood Village Assisted Living provides a socially enriched community. Some of our residents have spent an abundance of time alone prior to moving in with us. The interaction we offer amongst residents with activities and engagements can brighten their day and help meet social needs, which tend to be neglected as we age.
If more help is needed than Assisted Living, due to Dementia or Alzheimer’s, Oakwood Village offers Memory Care. We work on creating an individual plan for each resident to best take care of them. Like Assisted Living, it also includes meals, housekeeping, activities, health management, and 24-hour supervised care.
We invite you to come to visit the beautiful Oakwood Village Assisted Living and Memory Care community. We are located in the foothills of the Sierra Mountains in historic Auburn, California. Our beautiful red brick building sits on a vast campus with ample greenery and flourishing trees. Our setting is unmatched and so is our service. We are excited to meet you!
